Airport Area, Irvine
The Airport Area of Irvine is a both a residential and commercial area. The Airport Area is bordered on the south of the 405 Freeway, on the east by San Diego Creek and San Joaquin Marsh, on the northwest side by John Wayne Airport and on the north by MacArthur Boulevard off of Jamboree Road. The Airport Area is also referred to as The Downtown Area. This area has mid-rise and high-rise mixed use buildings. Among the residential buildings in the Airport Area are 3000 Plaza, Chelsea at Central Park West, Maxfield at Central Park West, Metropolitan, Watermarke and Renwick at Central Park West. There are three are large scale, multi-building collections in the area; The Plaza, The Marquee and Central Park West. There are many options available from studios to penthouses. In some developments there are options for condos, flats, lofts or townhouses. Square footage ranges up to 2,500 square feet for penthouses, some on one level, and others on multiply levels. The views from these high rises are of the Pacific Ocean, white water, Catalina Island, city night lights and gorgeous sunsets. Home values in this are range from $300,000 to 2.6 million dollars. Airport Area residents are in close proximity to Newport Beach and have easy freeway access. This area is home to the University of California at Irvine. The Orange County Airport is also located here. Students attend schools in the Santa Ana Unified School District, specifically Monroe Elementary School, McFaden Middle School and Century High School.
