The Shady Canyon Golf Course is private golf club located in the Turtle Rock Village of the city of Irvine. Shady Canyon was carefully designed to fit into the natural contours of the land with ravine and ascend slope features. The course was built in 2002. The golf course is at once both scenic and rugged. The golf course is surrounded by natural beauty. This award winning golf course was designed by Tom Fazio. The golf club is “devoted to the tradition and the highest standards of the game; a sanctuary where members could relax, recharge and enjoy themselves with their friends in an atmosphere of natural and formal beauty.” The front nine is designed around Shady Creek and the back nine follows the East Shady Creek. In addition to the 18 hole golf course, there is a putting green, driving range and short game area. The 18 hole regulation course has a par of 71 and a slope rating of 144. The staff includes PGA and LPGA professionals, which teach both private and group lessons for both youth and adults. There are both golf memberships and social memberships available at the club. Social membership holders have access to the Spa and Fitness Center, the Main Clubhouse, and the Private Dining Room. There are three luxury residential developments that surround the golf club; the Villas of Shady Canyon, Sycamore and the Masters Collection.
Memberships are by invitation or application only. A Golf Membership is $150,000 with a $1167 monthly due, this membership includes immediate family members up to 25 years of age. A Social Membership is $10,000 with monthly dues of $475.
