The Claire Trevor School of the Arts at the University of California, Irvine, will presenting the exhibit, American Monument, through February 8th of 2020. American Monument features art by Lauren Woods which looks at the cultural circumstances under which African-Americans lose their lives to police brutality. The centerpiece of the exhibit is an interactive sound sculpture. Lauren Woods is a researcher in residence as part of the Black Box Project. The exhibit is located in the Beall Center for Art and Technology. The exhibit is open Monday through Saturday from 12noon to 6pm. This exhibit is free to visit.
