Beyond the Decorative exhibit will open on October 9th at the OC Great Park Gallery. The Gallery is currently closed until October 9th, while they set-up this exhibit. The Opening Reception for Beyond the Decorative will be on Sunday, October 16th from 1pm to 3pm. Fabric historically has been used for decorating walls and living quarters. Beyond the Decorative asks contemporary artists to use textiles in many mediums including photography, video, paintings, sculpture, and wallpapers. The Great Park Gallery is open on Thursdays and Fridays from noon to 4pm and on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 4pm. Admission is free.
