Bommer Canyon is a great place to visit and explore this summer. Bommer Canyon is part of the old Irvine Ranch Cattle Camp. Some of the original structures are still there. This is also part community park and is a preservation area for many local plants, wildlife and several endangered species. There are several trails available to the public for walking, hiking, mountain biking and horse-back riding. There are also docent led activity trails. Currently, the City of Irvine is renovating the Bommer Canyon Cattle Camp site. Parking is open 7am to 6pm daily and trails are open 7am to sunset daily. Newport Coast is a section in the south end of the Newport Beach just north of Laguna beach.
