The Irvine Barclay Theatre will present the National Choreographers Initiative 2017 on July 29th. The National Choreographers Initiative is an intense three week process where four new ballets will be created. Molly Lynch is the Artistic Director. Lynch will work with four choreographers and sixteen professional dancers who will participate in the final presentation. The choreographers and dancers come from different ballet companies across the country. This year’s choreographers are Christopher Stuart, Penny Saunders, Robert Mills and Suzanne Haag. The National Choreographers Initiative is a distinctive Southern California performance with national influences. Many of the ballets created here have gone on to be performed across the US and internationally. The performance begins at 8pm. Tickets range in price from $20 to $65.
