When selling your home during the winter months, when days are shorter, be sure to light up the home well. During any showing or open house, turn all the lights in the house on, even open closet doors and turn those lights on. People will look in the closets, so have them ready. Even during evening showings, leave the blinds up and the curtains drawn, it will help to make the room look larger. If you have a dark corner, add end table lamp or a standing lamp to that area.
