Before you list your home on the real estate market, be sure to clean out the closets when you are de-cluttering your home. Start by removing all the out of season clothing. During open houses, open the closet doors. This does require closets to look their very best, but people are going to look in the closets regardless, so make them look good and show them off! A good goal is to have the approximately 20-30% of open space. Potential buyers will take notice of all the storage space the home has.
