The Irvine Museum is hosting an exhibit of Masterpieces of California Art. The exhibit will be closing shortly, the exhibit runs through Thursday, January 19th. This exhibit displays some of the most celebrated paintings of California, painted between 1890 and 1940. Guy Rose is represented in the exhibit with two pieces; The Green Parasol and Laguna Eucalyptus. Also included in the exhibit are Arthur Mathews’ Monterey County Landscape and Picking Poppies. These are just a few examples of the many works included in this exhibit. This exhibit has both paintings from The Irvine Museum’s collection and from the collections of private collectors.
